A quick bit of news for Top Gear Live ticket-holders in Amsterdam – James will be joining Jeremy and Richard for one night only on Thursday.

After Top Gear’s unexpected gong over Christmas for best telly show of the decade, it seems we’re up for another public vote on ITV’s National Television Awards.

If you happened to wander over to Channel 4 after the boys finished their adventures in Bolivia last night you might have noticed Top Gear picked up a little pat on the back – the best TV show of the, er, Noughties (noughts, surely?).

As I write we are in, yes you guessed it, the edit, just finishing the sound mix and the grade on the South America programme. Obviously you guys will be the judges, but we love it and we’re quite proud of it.

We’re nearly at the end of series 14 – the last show’s on January 3 – and you’ve probably already read the boss’s verdict on the series. Now we want to talk about the best bits.
