So day two of Top Gear Live is over. And we were there to see it – cos it’s our show, obviously. Anyway, the curtain went down for a second night, Stig wandered backstage with his Scalextric and the boys went to the pub, to make today’s show even better.
And if you’ve got tickets for the remaining performances, lucky you – London and almost all of the Birmingham tickets are now sold out. We don’t want to spoil it for you here, but we thought we’d show you some sneaky backstage shots of yesterday’s action, just to get your Top Gear juices flowing.
As usual, Jeremy, James and Richard were welcomed by a roaring crowd of women, and a few scary-looking hairy blokes too (some had mullets). And while they got the show going, we were hanging out in the paddock, watching the drivers warm up cars, before blasting out into the arena with a shriek of tyre squeal and roar of meaty V8. Or whatever size their engine was (the DBS sounded best, its V12 echoing around the cavernous Earls Court paddock).
When the cars were doing their thing for the audience, Jeremy and James sat backstage surrounded by cigarette packets and cans of Coke.
Then we spotted a dancing girl, and followed her to the arena – dodging powersliding supercars as we nipped across the bit behind the stage (you know the bit where they disappear out of sight? Well, there). As she got busy on top of a giant football, warming up for a very bendy routine, we watched the action on a telly. Then we spotted Oliver – Hammond’s Kadett from the Botswana trip – getting ready to enter the action. See him in the pic? Cute, isn’t he?
Anyway, you’ll just have to watch the show to see what happens next. And we definitely won’t spoil the Hollywood-style ending for you. But expect pyrotechnics, lots of strobey lights and a tame racing driver called Stig (there’s a clue in the picture we snapped at the top of this page).
Then check back here later for more news on the Top Gear Live World Tour. We’re going global, see, and we’ve just had a little chat to Jeremy and Richard to find out how excited they are…
Oh, and don’t forget Top Gear is back on your telly on Sunday night. It’s not live, but it’s just as good.

What do you think?

I went to Top Gear Live on saturday and I was a bit disappointed! It was a nice show but it wasn’t Top Gear…
Just cut out the dancing girls and let Jeremy, James and Richard talk about cars and mess about.
Still love the tv show!!

I went to London On Sat 1st. I agree with the comment about it being not quite as good as last year – the guys werent on enough and there was too much of the scantily clad dancing girls rolling about on a huge ball??!!! Whats all that about!!?? The rest of the show was good – especially when Jeremy and James come into the audience – Jeremy came right along the row behind us and Richard was at the end of our row (about 15 ish seats away) I wish it was the other way around though!! Disappointed that there was no chances to meet the guys 0 I carried books and dvd’s around all day on the off chance that I met them!! The stewards on the Paddock tour ruched us around too (this happened last year at BIrningham too). It takes that long to get out of the arena and into the paddock area that if you are some of the last few in (if you have had Platinum tickets like I had then you are last out as you are furthest away from the doors!) you get hurried round. Maybe the timings of the programmes should be changed slightly so that everyone gets enough time to go around and have a reasonable amount of time to look at the cars?
I am definitely going to go next year, and Id get the VIP tickets again even though there werent enough seats in the area (although we did pretty well and managed to get seats to eat) as you get the best seats in the Live Show. I hope they guys/producers etc of the show take note of the comments on here and have more of the TG Guys/cars and less of the dancing girls Last year was a better show. It would be nice if we had the chance to meet the guys aswell – especially if we have paid for VIP tickets – I know they cant sign everyone’s programmes etc but even if they just came out and said hi from their ‘offices’/wherever it is they go after the show, that would be nice.

Dancing girls? oh no…
I’ve tickets for Dublin on 28th and the cheapest tickets were €100 (that i can’t afford). Please please boys listen to the comments and cut the dancing girls – we want to see you guys!
p.s. I do now have a disturbing image of you three in dancer costumes – please don’t go down that route!
