The second leg of the Top Gear Live World Tour kicked off last night – the boys opened to a packed house on Birmingham where they’ll stay for the next three nights.
We realise the words ‘world tour’ and ‘Birmingham’ aren’t the most comfortable of partners, but with Dublin, Jo’burg, Sydney, Auckland and Hong Kong on the way, we feel we have the right to ham it up a bit.
Our first night in the Midlands passed without hitch (no setting fire to the props like we did in London and the only piece of set that fell over was the bit Hammond was meant to crash into, or so he says).
If you want tickets, unlucky. We’re sold out for Brum – but there are a handful left for Dublin. Otherwise, you’re in for a long haul flight – but, trust us, it’d be worth it.
The Mole will be loitering backstage today and we’ll bring you some more gossip. And we’re still planning to bring you some video as the tour progresses. If you’ve been already, tell us about it.

What do you think?

omg was at top gear birmingham last night for their last night and last performance at NEC. it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hammond still as cute and small as ever (with slightly shorter hair maybe?)
Still can’t believe the way they did handbrake turns and donut style stunts with people on the top! one word…. FAB! lots of noise, lots of smoke, smelt like Ferodo – who cares all in the name of Top Gear!
deffinately worth the money, wait and long two hour and something drive down there from near manchester.
and i met OLIVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoy the other shows guys, you’re in for a treat! xxxx

I am now the envy of everyone I meet in my brand new Top Gear Live T-shirt. Spent the whole show in disbelief that the three most awesome people in the world were stood in front of me, and that Hammond really is that short!
It was amazing, best birthday present ever. Thank you Top Gear!!!!!
