This week’s telly filming

The telly show this week has something of a green theme about it (which is a bit ironic ‘cos we could do with a bit of global warming here at the studio today, it’s freezing again).

The rehearsal and script read-through isn’t always the most reliable way to work out exactly what’ll end up in the show, but we know that James flew to the US a couple of weeks ago to drive Honda’s hydrogen-powered Clarity – which won Top Gear’s Green Car of the Year award on Monday – and that Clarkson has power tested the all-electric Tesla on our track.

Richard, meanwhile, has restored the TG carbon footprint by making a film about 50 years of touring car racing – The Mole has seen this and it’s worth a look for the wheel-to-wheel archive footage of Minis and Mk1 Escorts giant-killing Mustangs and Camaros. Awesome.

The star in our reasonably priced car this week – prepping for his practice laps as we type – is voice of the valleys Tom Jones. We’ll bring you some pics of him on-track later.

Oh, don’t forget that Top Gear’s on BBC Two at 9pm this Sunday, rather than its usual 8pm slot, because of Sports Personality of the Year or something. And last week’s is still available on iPlayer.

What do you think?

Does anyone know where the cut/copy/paste icons from IE6 happen to be stored? I’ve searched through the files in c:\windows\system32 (including shell32.dll), but I haven’t seen them. They’re probably in a DLL somewhere on XP, but there’s so much Windows and XP junk to sort through that I haven’t been able to find them, even with a good deal of searching. Thank you for your responses in advance!Originally posted by Jswalden86

I hadn’t, but I just did. Of the icons I found, they weren’t there. They’re probably in a DLL somewhere like I originally thought.Originally posted by Jswalden86

Right click on an empty space on the tool bar and choose “customize”. You should find them there.

I actually don’t SEE cut/copy/paste icon in Internet Explorer 6, though I don’t doubt there’s a way to get them visible.
They’re not in IEXPLORE.EXE, so they’re probably in a DLL that’s imported by IEXPLORE.EXE. PC Magazine’s IconJack utility is handy for pulling in all the icons from as many files as you want for eyeball-analysis.Neil J. RubenkingProject leader, PC MagazineOriginally posted by NeilJRubenking
