The Mole can hardly believe it, but the Top Gear world tour has come to an end. What started in London finished after a textbook performance in Hong Kong on Sunday, with 67 shows successfully completed in front of nearly 250,000 people.
Jeremy and Richard have flown over 26,000 miles to bring Top Gear Live to seven different arenas, taking in London, Dublin, Sydney, Auckland and Jo’burg on the way. They’ve paraded some of the greatest cars ever designed to our live audience, from Bugatti Veyrons to the spectacular Mercedes CLK GTR.
They’ve shredded hundreds of tyres, replaced countless clutches and driveshafts and welded five differentials. They’ve played 83 games of car football (only popping two giant balls in the process), but losing nine wings mirrors and four radiators in the heat of competition.
There have been 42 versions of seven scripts and they’ve recorded 5,696 minutes of the shows on 16 different types of camera. The Stig has eaten 11 different varieties of peanut butter, and the stunt drivers have not cleaned their racing suits even once.
Looking back, The Mole will miss many things from the tour – the action, the travel, the not being stuck in TG’s west London headquarters… but not hearing Hammond shouting ‘it’s like Top Gear, but live’ at the start of EVERY show will be a blessed relief.
Plans are already in motion for the next Top Gear Live show, kicking off at Earls Court at the end of this year. And The Mole has heard rumour of a new set of custom cars being made for the show – if you enjoyed the Mitsubishi Evo 9 we transformed into an old London taxi and the Mascar-powered Double Decker bus then The Mole reckons early booking is a must.

i’m back!!worked till 10 pm fri and sat and been there 8 till 6 today… i’m a shop manager its a “Spar” shop worked there 6 and a half years but only been manager since christmas, i love it but its hard sometimes i’ve had evening staff off sick and couldn’t get cover,so i have to do it… anyway i see the hamster is still lookin as cute as ever on telly tonight i didn’t think he could get any cuter but i was wrong!!Did you see the Evel Knievel show he did WOW he looked SOOOOOO lovely !! it looks like its me and three lads goin 2 Top Gear live in november at the minute !!

Will be going to Cornwall on hols in May so will be staying over the first night near Bristol…About Top Gear live we are going to Birmingham prob on the Saturday,but I fancy going another day as well just to see more of the lovely Rich! I go camping too we have a trailer tent and (don’t tell the Top Gear team) we used to have a CARAVAN!!!! OO ERR!! I’m away in Oxfordshire on 1st April for 5 days so i won’t be able to talk then either,I’m staying where Jeremy lives!! (I’m not stalking him that would have to be Richard!) I applied for the tv show tickets last night in a fit of madness,the studio is 230 miles from where I live!!! thats why I’ve never applied before but i just thought what the hell! I don’t know if TG reads these comments but if you do I just wanted to say that who knows when the stig will retier but some day he will and then you would need a new stig and I think I know who would be perfect for the job I have not met him before but I have seen him race at Buckmore Park and I was tolled secretly that he is their secret top driver who is traing so hard to be as good as the stig and to get a job as the stig when he is older in a couple of years or so. The chief instructure said that “He could be alot better than the stig him self”.Maybe I should just get to the point now if you want him shout out “Deniz Aktekin” in the Earls Court London 5-8 November MPH show 09. Who knows he might be there? Yes I know i have gone off subject here but it could be someone you will realy enjoy to watch it’s better to try it out than not to TG.

Thanks for getting in my way last week in that classic rally.
I had set out to ride Collobra but it was shut due to the bloddy rally. Then tried to get over Soller but it was also shut. Coppers wouldnt let me go through the tunnel. so had to put a two hour loop in nto get back to my hotel in the dark.

It would be cool to live near the TG team, or go for a holiday near there! I’d probably go beserk everytime the gorgeous hamster walked by!!! Is Jeremy really that tall?! I wonder how tall Richard is, he can’t be shorter than maybe 5 foot 4… I don’t know.Short people are kinda cute, and in Richards case, Very cute!!! I’m quite tall, what a shame…

Yeah Jeremy is really that tall! Richard is actually 5 foot 7 which is a whole 10 inches shorter than Jeremy! Don’t ask me how i know all these things i’m just totally mad on Top Gear obviously!!I agree Richard is very cute oh yes… I’m only 5 foot 4 myself and the lads at work (the T G fans) are much much taller than me, they always make jokes about me being short as well,and even better when anything goes wrong they shout “Thats not gone well!!” My shop really is a madhouse!!
And yes how good would it be to live near them! I will keep a look out for Jeremy next week you never know i may get lucky!

You and the hamster are so similar!
I am about 5 foot 6, or maybe 7. But I expect to grow even taller still! I am totally mad on top gear too, a guy I know was talking to his mate about top gear. He was saying about the new series, and I thought I missed one, then I remembered it only started in June! What a relief!!! My brother makes top gear quotes all the time, and I even sneak a couple into a conversation with my friends!

Yes me and Richard are VERY similar!Nearly the same age,both short,both have tall friends (over 6 foot),both mad,i even do things like he does like wave my arms round a lot when i’m explaining something!!(i’m not copying him,i’ve always done it,its just funny we’re alike!)I think if i go by the telly recordingdates i’ve got the first episode of the new series will actually be on telly on Sunday 21st June and i thinkthey are doing 7 this time… they should do one every weekfor ever and ever! i saw oneon Dave today that i hadn’t actually seen, i thought i’d seen them all but no!!

Come to the US left coast next year! Los Angeles is car central for the United States. We have more “Top Gear” type cars here than anywhere else in the country! Have you ever been to Newport Coast on a Sunday?? It’s like watching a marathon of the last three TG series!

Hi guys, a world tour is brilliant, but how about popping your heads into the Philippines next tour.
The mag does down well here, but alas there’s no TV prog and you can’t get to watch the vids on the site, it’s no wonder that people have to go and buy pirated stuff to enjoy the best prog on the box.
Please help those fans in Asia who want to be truly entertained and have a love of TG and cars and allow us to enjoy what is basically free to watch for everyone else.
