Filming’s almost wrapped here at the studio for five – and it looks like a bit of a change from the Radio Times listing.
The ice racing remains – a terrifying challenge for Jeremy, Richard and James involving three 1,500-quid rear-drive sportscars and an on-track tussle that really doesn’t end well for James.
But the telly boys have bumped the film of the BMW Z4 and the airport truck racing in favour of a test of Jaguar’s new 500bhp XFR and a new invention by Jeremy that’s guaranteed to save the planet. Almost.
This week’s celeb is, for once, a girl – actress Sienna Miller. Stig took a bit of a shine to say the least and her lap was, well, you’ll have to wait for Sunday for that.
Oh, and don’t forget we’ll have the usual behind-the-scenes galleries for you tomorrow and Friday – including the rehearsals and the live recording – so set yourselves a bookmark for that.

If the Airport Truck racing was as staged as the Bulldog game with the Army, i am glad it has been dropped.That wasn t your brightest hour, but i am sure sun will rise again. Good luck guys. keep it coming.I know you still got it.

I don’t think something went wrong so much as they either a) couldn’t say they were going to have the Jag or b) weren’t entirely positive it was going to happen. So they planned to not have it and lucky us, they do! I’m looking forward to it and hope the car survives the Top Gear track treatment relatively unscathed.

Horay – a proper car review! Looking forward to the XFR test very much. I’m sure the Airport racing will return later, and I’m glad the £1500 coupes remain, even though you’ve used that idea already (what about cheap 4x4s, vintage cars, etc? Plenty left to do without rehashing old shows).
But…
Please please please please please please please don’t turn the SIARPC into an awful plug for some crappy film again. You guys seriously messed up with Walburg, please please please please don’t repeat that. Please.
Sienna’s gonna much more appealing to look at on the TG couch than M.W. though…
