This weekend James May starts building one of the most ambitious things that he’s ever set out to construct: a house made entirely of Lego.
And he’s not talking about a small house, but a full-sized one that you could move around in – or even live in.
James is planning on spending a weekend in the finished article, which he’s hoping will have running water, electricity and all the usual creature comforts of a regular home.
Including a loo.
“I’ve got a man working on a flushing Lego lavatory. We think it’s possible,” James says.
As part of his new BBC2 series James May’s Toy Stories, he’ll be building the house in Denbies Wine Estate, Surrey, using in excess of three million bricks.
He was looking for people to help construct the building, but has just told us that they’ve been somewhat inundated with offers of help.
However if you still fancy putting yourself forward, then drop an email to lego@plumpictures.co.uk and you might be in with a shot.
We’re most intrigued to find out if it’s going to have a Lego double-garage.

What do you think?

I was told that you achieved 7 miles. We left at 8.00 and it was nearly into Yelland. Are you going to try again James ? If so what about on the West Somerset Railway and balance the track on the real railway track. This should be safer and less prone to sabotage by vandals.
