Following on from a tour of the UK and Ireland, the boys are going on the road again early next year, and for the first time ever Top Gear Live is hitting Amsterdam, from January the 21st to the 24th.
Clarkson and Hammond will be taking over all the explosions and cocking about that they can muster, which got us to thinking…
What better way for you and your mates to banish the post-Christmas blues than with a weekend getaway to Europe’s party capital? You’ll be able to hit up Amsterdam’s rowdy bars and clubs, followed by a visit to the now infamous live Top Gear event, in a few short hours from the UK.
A cursory glance at the interweb reveals plenty of cheap flights – under a hundred quid – and loads of deals on hotel rooms for you to rest your weary head.
It’s the perfect excuse to ditch gloomy Britain for a few days and will give you something to look forward to at the end of the year’s most depressing month.
As Clarkson says: “The stunts are amazing, some of the cocking about is amazing, but the best bits of every single show is when you can see that either Hammond or I has forgotten what’s coming next. We don’t help the other one out, we just stand back and enjoy it.”

i heard, that james may wouldnt be making it, and that Beau van erven dorens was taking his place (he’s a dutch televison show hoast)

Two words: Gray Area. Great place to get buzzed. Top Gear is so much fun..we watch both at our home in Ireland and in Dallas, TX too…so glad it’s there, as having the DT’s in pursuit of such high quality lunacy made my withdrawal unnecessary upon return to the US. And, DO consider catapulting a VisioBird, per the TV commercial…after the tragic crash of the ‘not-so-flying’auto, think maybe that engineering treatment might work. Cheers, Lads. And, remember The Byrds song: ‘Never carry more than you can eat’ while you’re in Amsterdam.

…okay, so probably too much time spent and brain cells fried at The Gray Area…the song with the lyric ‘never carry more than you can eat’ is ‘Little Hippee Boy’ by The Flying Burrito Bros…if you’re my age, I don’t have to explain. If you don’t know who they are, you still have brain cells to spare. Party on!

hope it will be good 4 people because i went 2 see the top gear live show at the nec and that was good with all the stunts the lap of the track and the stig doing the loop the loop. hope the tour is going well for the lads hope 2 see then again later this year is they are doing the tour this year. hpoe people like it i did

Why isn’t Top Gear live coming to Belgium?
I’m only 16, that means that I’m not allowed to cross the border on my own. And it’s a bloody hell to get a special paper when youre parents are divorced. My mother can’t go to Amsterdam this weekend, otherweise we could go togethter and then there wouldn’t be any problem.
It’s just not fair! I would have loved to go.
