A busy weekend at TopGear towers. Jeremy’s now somewhere in Johannesberg waving one of the Stig’s vuvuzela prototypes around, while script editor Richard Porter (your regular correspondent) is on his way home from the Grand Prix with half of the office, having successfully avoided the many grandees he’s offended over the years.

And the Stig. After witnessing Rubens Barrichello’s time in the Liana at the studio this week, he immediately requisitioned a passing Ferrari 458 Italia and disappeared to perma-lap the TopGear track. He was still there when we left. We hope he – and the Ferrari – are OK.

Meanwhile, here’s some extra stuff from the show filming for you. First up, a short film on the magic of Rubens and Andy Wilman’s lucky pants:

And here’s what happened when we met a charming wizardly ginger chap with lots of money and an orange Range Rover Sport:

And if you did actually watch the show instead of the football, let us know your thoughts on Hammond’s muscle car madness and your winner of the Rapide/Quattroporte/Panamera showdown in that convenient space just below…

What do you think?

Wicked show! I watched it after I watched a bit of the footie, and after My Fave Show On Earth (Top Gear if you dumb people couldn’t guess!) ended I went back to the footie!

‘st.george’.

I hope when you say ‘do it again’, you don’t mean argue. I’d had enough of it and it was looking like it was easing off.

So, if you don’t mind, don’t go stirring things because I don’t want another war.

m8,the “do it again” was meant in the true spirit of beavis and butthead.. and so was the “hahaha hahaha..”..it was meant to stipulate my humble opinion of the ongoings of past ..and unfortunately but undoubtedly of present,on this blog. I don’t “go stirring things”.. my parents tought me better than that. I don’t really care much for the “wars” some of you think to be fighting up here either. I actually find them rather dull. So in the spirit of all fairness.. get off my back ! Okay ? Thank you.

But you said a few posts back, that you enjoyed reading through what people had said against me.

what are you on about. I don’t care about you or anyone up here.. I occassionaly enjoy reading through these blogs the way one would reading a comic book.. or watching jackass.. savy ?

to be fair, this is not a forum its a comments section, comment and go away, if you wish to bicker and fight go to a forum and do it there,

blog your hearts out or whatever else comic book guy inspires you to do but lay of these comments, its getting a bit boring that they consist mostly of unnecessarily lengthy rants at each other by a few people within which genuine comments are lost,

loosen up drink some petrol and see how many matches you can swallow

okay to comment on comments ? I hope that’s okay.. not a rant just a comment.. is that genuine ?

or.. should we try and be constructive ? witty ? opinionated ? what’s the accepted level of insight ? Is there a set standard ? Should I drink more petrol ? I ran out of matches is that a problem ? Are you as dumb as you seem ? Am I ?
sod off m8..

Is that okay ? Or should I just leave a comment on the latest episode ?

I thought it was great ! F1 vs Harry Potter.. a track test set in a public parking lot.. super cars that are family saloons.. see the pattern.. tg took the piss and they did it well.. having read these blogs the best reaction to consumer advice tg so far.. I loved it.. and if you didn’t.. well leave a comment ! :D

Of course the whole thing was staged – did anyone honestly doubt that the bride and groom themselves asked Top Gear to be chauffeurs for their wedding?”

No it wasn’t staged, 2 friends of mine were due to get married around that time and were offered the chance for TG to “do their wedding cars”
They declined, as although they are fans of the show, they were well aware of just how daft TG can be, and decided they didn’t want the heassle.

I know who is The Stig and i am not going to say wwho it is and even if Rubens did beat The Stigs time he will never be as good as Michael Schumacher how much at the moment Michael is going through a bad season with Mercedes-Benz. i cant see Rubens ever be World Champion.

Quattroporte, without a doubt.

So Rubens is not the Stig? :(
