The Sun – a popular newspaper in Great Britain – are today reporting that they have discovered what they call ‘a Stig Farm’. Employing their full range of investigative powers, they seem to have got their hands on the pictures below.
We’re saying nothing. But as we all know, anything can happen in Stig world. You’ll just have to wait and see.

EDIT: As promised via Facebook, witty comment gets a mention, so thanks to StevieG for this insight: “Wonder what they taste like with chips?”

Even though I love the show, he needs to think before he speaks. I mean, we made the first production car! and what about his dear, precious Ford GT. how would he feel with out that? It really is funny though, on how he embraced Jay Leno when he came on the show, but then files the rest of all armericans as fat and lazy. If you go back in history, a famer and his brother had a Jeep, but wanted to get a new car, now both of these men worked at Rover, and created the second off road car, the Land Rover. So, in a nut shell, Land Rover would not exist without americans. So there, Jeremy.

Yeah, I agree, but they should come to Colorado’s mountain roads. But, sadly, if the come back to the US, they’ll just go to Texas and pay a gas station owner to throw eggs at them…again

Now come on… yes we’re getting fat. Most of us are lazy… OK we suffer from what my buddy calls Wall-e syndrome. But our cars aren’t that bad. They are just made for wide, flat, strait roads

I’m assuming the red ones are either strawberry or cherry, the yellow ones are lemon, the pink ones are bubble gum, and the white ones are coconut. Make a starburst bar out of these, you could.

theamericanbrit, where on Earth do you get your information from? you clot! Americans may have made the first production car, so what? It doesn’t mean that Americans know how to build better cars.
And for the record,- If you go back in history, An Englishman, Maurice Wilks, who had worked for General Motors in USA, for just 2 years, returned to the UK, and went to work for the Hillman Motor Car Company.Wilks worked at Hillman for two years as a planning engineer until 1930, when he moved to the Rover Company as chief engineer, joining his brother, Spencer, who was managing director at Rover at that time. During World War II, Wilks led Rover’s team developing Frank Whittle’s gas turbine aircraft engines.
Shortly after the war, whilst at his farm in Anglesey, Wilks, who used an army surplus Willys Jeep for farm work, and his brother Spencer who was visiting him, were inspired to develop and produce a utility four-wheel-drive vehicle for farmers, and the name Land Rover was coined for it.
The reason Land rover was conceived, was because Jeep weren’t up to the job!
Honestly, you Americans love to try and take credit for anything! That’s probably why Jeremy dislikes you so much!
And let’s not forget that as a part of the lease lend deal during the war, the UK promised to share ALL it’s technology with USA, and without it, America would probably still not have computers, nylon, jet engines, and many other things developed here!

Hey there theamericanbrit, I was just on Wikipedia, and I see that the Americans did Not make the first production car!!
The first design for an American automobile with a gasoline internal combustion engine was made in 1877 by George Selden of Rochester, New York. Selden applied for a patent for an automobile in 1879, but the patent application expired because the vehicle was never built. After a delay of sixteen years and a series of attachments to his application, on November 5, 1895, Selden was granted a United States patent (U.S. Patent 549,160) for a two-stroke automobile engine, which hindered, more than encouraged, development of automobiles in the United States. His patent was challenged by Henry Ford and others, and overturned in 1911.
However, Karl Benz’s first Motorwagen was built in 1885, and he was awarded the patent for its invention as of his application on January 29, 1886. Benz began promotion of the vehicle on July 3, 1886, and about 25 Benz vehicles were sold between 1888 and 1893, when his first four-wheeler was introduced along with a model intended for affordability.
We in Britain also invented the pneumatic tyre, and the train, and when we go to war, we Never kill people on our own side!!

Sorry folks, but most American cars are, as they say on the other side of the pond, rubbish. At least when in comes to handling. There’s nothing faster in a straight line, as that is a uniquely American experience. But other than a very few sports cars, our cars just can’t corner. Case in point: My wife wanted a Mustang. We had an MBZ C230 at the time. I drove it around a corner at a normal speed for the Benz and almost ended up in a ditch! To wit I told my wife it she drove a Mustang like her C230 I’d be pulling her out of a lot of ditches. I’ve owned many Ford’s, A Dodge or two and GM Trucks. All of them have the same problem: Premature transmission failure. My old Benz trans just failed after 375k mi of service! Now as far as you Britts? Your cars may handle better, be better looking for sure, but us Americans can drive more than 10mi without breaking down! And our cars always start. My first car: An MGB. 3 Hours under the hood for every hour driven. If you want a truly reliable and sporty car… Buy a Toyota…

Howdy folks! I’m a fat cowboy who eats McDonalds everyday and just sits on my butt all day watching 43 cars going in a circle! No, you Brits just have the worst stereotypes ever. I live in Texas ,yes, but that does not mean I’m that guy you just saw in the first two sentences. In fact, I actually prefer Top Gear UK over Top Gear USA. I love Top Gear UK, but I really get sad when it boasts on the US, I really do. it just shows the childish behavior in you guys, really. I never ever heard Top Gear USA boast on the UK before. Now I’m not saying that Americans aren’t childish(They’re probably more) but what I’m saying is it is like Jeremy Hammond and James don’t know that their show is on BBC America. For Example, Hammond was test driving America’s sports car(the Corvette) and puts a pebble on the enormous stretch, then drives over it and grabs his back as if he were an old man just injured by a mountain of boulders! Also Jeremy Clarkson, reviewing an American car (I forget which one) gives it a good review and I’m on the other side of the screen smiling because Clarkson has finally matured, then ruins it with the last line “If only they could win the war so convincingly”. Have you thought about it; if a British guy comes over to the US then everyone will be dying over his accent or the fact that he is from England or something, meanwhile in the UK if an American comes over he or she will be so hated that the guy and/or gal comes back crying.

Top Gear is Monty Python’s Driving Circus. We Americans either get British humor, or we don’t. Those of us who do get it love Top Gear. Those who don’t watch Seinfeld reruns.
In the US, a Stig Farm would be a huge swath of Kansas where the government pays the farmers NOT to grow Stigs.

Top Gear on BBC is like porn to me. I can’t get enough! Love Jeremy,James, and Richard. I’m an American but find the U.S. version very dull. I also have a 1964 vintage Dodge muscle car that goes fast in a stright line. Not so much on curves and I don’t care! The comments the guys make on our modern cars may seem harsh but always have truth in them. Love the dry sense of humor and will continue watching the guys and always wonder about the identity of The Stig. People need to lighten up and take these shows for what they are…entertainment. Enjoy.
