As you may have seen on this week’s show, we have a new Stig. Found in a manger in Bethlehem less than a month ago, the fast-evolving tame racing driver happily grew in time to grace Dunsfold on Sunday for its first day at work.
And what with over-steering the mighty Atom V8 to the top of the Power Lap board and aiding a witty Liverpudlian to a complete demolition of Tom Cruise’s time in the Kia, it’s fair to say it passed its first day with flying colours.
Knowing your insatiable curiousity for all things Stig, the TopGear.com crew knew it would be remiss if we didn’t grab an exclusive interview. And here it is. Apologies for the teenage girl we seem to have temporarily employed to ask the questions. She got a bit excited.

What do you think?

When is Stig mk 3 taking the Liana for a spin????? or might that give big hint to who the tame racing driver really is if the time is faster the ‘sacked Stig’ it could point to Rubens Barichello after all ‘sacked Stig’ was claimed to be the fasted person round th TG test track and Rubens now holds that tilte….., BUT the the conspiracy theorists could claim that the BBC knew about the Collins books and were making contingency plans by looking for replacements.

I just got to see this season’s show 1 last night here in the States, and was disappointed.
Firstly, Why tell us you got a new Stig? I liked the old one and would not have know the difference.
Secondly, you spent too much time on the Atom, boring. who would buy one? Who cares a striped down circuit race car is fast? Duh… I had watch one of the old shows when Jeramey tested a car in the sews of Belfast, a classic. It set the bar high and you missed with your premier.

Some say that he was found in manger. It’s rumoured that his mother works at a petrol station in Alabama…and that his father is from Clarkson Island. All we know is that he’s called the Stig! And he’s the fastes driver…………in the world.

Very NOT disappointed by the premiere. FredMertz, it would have been an insult to all the fans of TopGear that knew of the issue with Ben Collins if it would not have been brought up.
The Atom is an exciting car that exists for no other reason than it does. Much like the Veyron, it has no purpose on that program other than to show the capacity of engineers to stretch the boundries and for folks like us to dream of that amount of disposable cash.

It was well known in the UK that the original white stig was sacked for revealing his identity in an autobiography.
There was even a court case involving the BBC in which the BBC tried to prevent him revealing his identity in the book, as the stig, but the BBC lost the court battle.

A female stig? But The Stig has no gender. As Mr Mrs Miss or Ms Twig suggests, surely the only choice would be Sabine Schmit but then we all know that “some say The Stig’s not human,” so not even Ben Collins is or was his Stiggness?
Although it’s a very nice idea that it could be Sabine behind the leggendary helmet we all know Stig is too close to godliness even for that. hahaha.
Although “some say in some corner of existance there’s a whole planet populated by the Stiggish kind, so who knows ; maybe there’s lady Stigs and little girl baby Stigs too? only one man ; sorry – Stig – can say and he or “it” never says anything so we’ll never know.
