I felt the exchange was quite pointless. Haven’t you Brits realized yet that debate gets you nowhere but minus however much time you spend doing it? The best guests are the ones who have good stories from their motoring past or present.

I have a good sense of humour and i do find your jokes amusing – but PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE do not go down the road and make joking remarks towards God (Allmighty) ……You just dont go there! It is personal to over 5 BILLION people areound the world
Say your SORRY to GOD and make an appology on Series 17 Episode 1 of the next series of Top Gear and keep up with the funny humour leaving reference to God out of it!

Oh god. I can’t wait for this battle to hit BeebAmerica — and iTunes. Eventually.
Prescott v. Clarkson.
I think Senna v. Prost was friendlier.

The film on the moon buggy gave me the biggest goofy grin ever. James looked more like he was six years old, and that disproved the whole “never meet your heroes” ideal Richard espoused. And I think he had more fun than Richard thrashing the F40 and the 959.
minus the road trip (sorry boys, they are starting to get really predictable – not the results, just the format and cock-ups), this was one of the best since the Ayrton Senna episode. It was just the right amount of old and new, and it hearkened back to the days of Season 9. One of my closest friends became a fan after the space shuttle episode.
In regards to the Clash of the Titans, I still have to give the debate crown to you brits. If this had been an American tete-a-tete, it would have involved much more shouting and confusion, and only a seasoned vet of C-SPAN would have survived.. I especially liked the parting of terms from essentially two out of touch millionaires- maybe we can get Tony on at some point?

Imster, people have opinions and make jokes, jeeze. The other 5 billion that you talk about need to learn to be open minded if they are going to get their panties in a knot about this. I am sure they say much worse about non religious folk, they might say “oh that science is stupid…” Wow that really hurt I can tell you! Jeremy and the guys make fun of “Boffins” scientists all the time how come we aren’t allowed to get offended? Firstly we wouldn’t because it is just a funny TV show, secondly it is Jeremy so just have fun!

After his “loser ” comments, I fear Mr. Clarkson is on very dangerous ground with GOD. Maybe not in this life? Who does Mr. Clarkson think he is? His comments involving GOD are not clever or funny & offend many!
What concerns me is what is this teaching viewers in regard to respect to GOD and those who worship GOD and indeed respect in general?
DONT DO IT JEREMY!

Get your facts right Jeremy, The most westerly point on the UK mainland is Ardnamurchan Point in Scotland, not Lands End.

I’m pretty sure that lmster was being sarcastic, what with there not being 5 billion Christians on Earth and other things, like the call for an apology to a nebulous divine creator. As for the Anon posting about how Jezza’s in peril of spending the next life tortured, well, how can I put this delicately…
There bloody well isn’t a next life, or a God, so shut up and read a book, moron.
I think that shows the correct amount of respect due to the average Christian and their chosen body of fairy stories and ethnic cleansing guides.

I vow never watch or support Top Gear again after Jeremy’s “Loser” comment about God. He’s always been treading on thin ice when it comes to God but this was the last straw.
That was disgraceful for the BBC to even allow that to be broadcasted…
