The sun, the moon, 80s supercar nirvana and Prezza…

Well folks, that’s it for another series of Top Gear. We hope you enjoyed what was an action-packed finale…

The TV gang are now off for a well earned break before returning to your screens in the summer, while the staff of TopGear.com are currently decamping across the Channel to this week’s Geneva motor show, where we’ll bringing you news of all the new metal coming our way over the next few years.

Thanks for all your feedback and heated debate over the course of series 16. We’ll keep posting the rest of our behind-the-scenes footage from the latest run for you over the next few weeks. But in the meantime, as is now traditional, let us know what you thought of the F40, the 959, the victory over the sun (and the moon), the return of the Cool Wall, and the prizefight of the year in the handy space below…

Wonderful episode. I’ve been a fan of this show for years. I want to take this opportunity to thank James May and Top Gear for expressing their opinion that is shared by so many of us here in Houston and most of my country and criticizing the president for cutting NASA’s budget. Thank you so very very much.

I Love your show! Great season. As an american who hates Nascar, I think Top Gear should do another “How hard can it be” episode on Nascar. F1 is “real” racing.

Your New DVD special arrived through my door on Saturday, Always enjoy watching the directors cut, was disapointed with the crew commentory not up to the usual hilarious standards Mr wilman your incite (taking the pi*!) was missed, think it works best when there isn’t a presenter present, maybe 2 different comentorys one with the TG3 and one just crew???

Awesome episode and i love the show guys, never miss an episode, i have it on season pass on TIVO :D but just throwing out an idea… maybe you could do a classic European sports car vs. an American NASCAR stock car and do two races, one on a big oval track and another on a classic European style race track. It’s just i want something that make all the rednecks shut up about “NASCAR’s the best racing there is” junk… Anyone with common sense should know that a true test of a car is not going flat out on a giant left hand turn!!!

I have a secret evil plan to destroy NASCAR. Convince one of the lead driver to turn right. Then again, I also think land mines would drastically improve professional golf. Think of it, no senior tour – ever!

I’m a huge fan of the show and have mostly enjoyed this last series. So it pains me to say it was a little big…baggy.

To start, the Australian top gear thing didn’t work. It was predictable and the humour was basically lazy stereotypes. The tests with the old BMW’s was also pointless and boring, with the whole CSI results thing, and subsequent hazard suit-wearing, just being wearing. And the Albania one was just daft. I guess it didn’t help the bentley didn’t turn up but the whole police chase was incredibly forced.

The middle east special was ace though. And John Prescott was the best guest ever in my humble opinion. I guess I’m saying you should do what you do best and try less hard to be funny. And don’t go for the cheap laughs. Especially at Mexicans.
