Ferrari 458 versus Ferrari FF It’s Monday, so just for all you TopGear.commers, here’s another clip from Powered Up, Jeremy’s new DVD.

And this one’s a doozy: the first time we can think of where Ferrari’s FF and 458 Italia have been pitted against each other on the same track.

There’s also a Volkswagen Jetta knocking about, for reasons that presumably become clear when you watch the whole DVD.

If you missed the previous two instalments, here’s Jeremy in the wondrous BAC Mono, and here’s the nightmarish, 46 litre, aeroplane-engined Brutus from 1908.

Check the duelling Italian beasts below. Powered Up will be hitting shops – and subsequent Christmas stockings – on 7 November. You can pre-order Powered Up right here

What do you think?

how can a few people make so much acid “rain”

I seriously like the FF’s smiling assassin look and it has the best “proper” shooting brake interpretation out there.

Love both of those cars! I think I’d take the 458 though. But I think it’s amazing how close the FF was to the 458 considering the FF isn’t a purpose built supercar (in the way the 458 is) and considering a racing driver was in the 458! You’ve got to love Ferraris :)

there are differences between 4 wheel drive, all wheel drive, and full time 4 wheel drive. I’m quite sure ( actually I know) it has all wheel drive.

Very, very funny.

Is it true that a puddle of “golden rain” can cause a car to skid out of control or is it just an exaggeration.

I can’t think of a better year round family car than the FF. Not every color looks good on the FF, not like other Ferrari’s(more of the exotic colors) IMO. I spec’d one of their whites on the website, and have been dreaming of that car since. It’s screams elegnce, IMO, especially on the interior. Oh yeah, it’ll do 208 MPH with the wife, 2 kids, and the shih-tzu!!! Too bad for me I couldn’t even afford the insurance for it :-(

At least they didn’t try using the “natural mud” to throw the 458 off coarse….just sayin

Surfboard designer Roberto Ricci took his Aston Martin Rapide luxury sedan and a friend to film him on the road and crashed (at about 1:00). Turns out the crash was caused by Ricci disengaging the electronic stability control system, which made a crash basically inevitable at those speeds. Protip: if your car has a “make car drive worse and probably lose control” button, DON’T PUSH THAT BUTTON.

Two Steps from Hell !!!

@Blur4449: if you ‘puddle’ on the pedals whilst driving, certainly. Otherwise, a puddle of any color is like rain I guess. Sort of like rain.
Don’t eat the yellow snow btw.

At least golden rain was used – instead of “gentleman’s relish” or “organic waste”

Looks like fun – hope it will be available on iTunes too!

I Prefer the 458, the FF is probably going to be a good car, but it is hideous and ferrari is about coupes and sports cars, and this is neither

I just love the FF. I know some people say that isn’t a “proper” Ferrari, but I just don’t care. To me, it just screams “Buy me already, you fool!”. Unfortunately, I lack the monies… Back to my Z4, I guess… ;)
