Enjoy the show, TopGear.commers? A classic feast of supercar exotica sandwiched the very first Star In A Reasonably Priced Car of series 18, Mr will-dot-i-dot-am-dot.
As Jeremy admitted as much on last night’s show, the man is an inspiration, and quite possibly the busiest human being on our dear planet. Alongside selling over 40 million records, he’s even designed his own car, for goodness sake.
We caught up with him while he practiced his lap times in our automatic cee-apostrophe-dee. Suffice to say, records aren’t the only thing he’s adept at spinning…
Once he stopped testing the capability of our cee’d off-road and kept facing the right direction for more than a minute, he did manage to squeeze in a half decent time. Though he did get a tad distracted at the end when a special guest from the chaps’ supercar film turned up. A guest with a Yamaha (ahem, Volvo) 4.4-litre twin turbo engine and 650bhp…

What do you think?

Good episode. I take my hat off to him for everything he has done. But he was sort of boring in the interview.

Excellent show. I am not a big Will I Am fan, but it was fun watching him make a lap. I thought the show was really good last night. A lot of times Clarkson, Hammond, and May are doing more goofing than actual car commentary, but last night you could see that they were very serious about their supercars. Thats why I love this show. Sometimes its mirth and merriment, and other times they are doing an A+ job of really giving the viewer the feel of some of these cars. Great show guys. Keep it up.

Great episode, much better than what I expected it to be, also, the program feels much more professional and grown up, and that’s a good thing… the old childish jokes were getting boring. The interview wasn’t interesting, but that was the guest’s fault, Jeremy tried hard, still, doesn’t matter, that’s not what the show’s about. Good! Now I have to wait another week for more action

Great episode, great way start to the year! Really loved the Italian road trip.
As much as i WANT to believe in what will.i.am. is doing with his car company and cheer him on, i cannot help but think it looks EXACTLY like the DeLorean he had modified with a Corvette engine by West Coast Customs a while back. And also showed at SEMA i believe.
More like a publicity stunt well catered for by knowlegdable interviewers (Both Leno and Clarkson knows full well it’s not his design) who don’t want to call him on it.
NOT a scratchbuilt machine with Chrysler components ment to bring work and prosperity to the ghetto.

I have to say that Will.I.Am’s 1st car design shown on TV last night was the most amazing looking car I think I have ever seen. Can we get a picture put onto the website please?

Why is Will.I.Am still claiming that he built that car himself in the ghetto? That’s his Delorean, modified by West Coast Customs.

Pure entertainment. Not much of a Will I Am fan, but it was good fun watching the show – him notching a lap especially. Usually Jeremy and gang, are goofing aound more than actual car commentary, but this ep we could see that them being serious about them supercars. This is why I love Top gear. Sometimes its thrilling and merriment, and other times they are doing a stellar job of reviewing some of these cars. Hats off guys. Kudos!!!

I found will i am to be one of the most singly boring and irrelevant guests Top Gear has ever had. You could see Clarkson struggling to find something, but despite all efforts, it was confirmed that the chap with daft hair had no personality to speak of. Please please please, can we get some interesting folk on again soon?

He certainly kept his foot in even when he spun!
An interesting guy and not the usual Top Gear guest as he’s young and cool and not British.

Will.I.Am was not boring, he was quietly quippy! He pushed the crap car into a good lap, after spinning off a few times. That’s pretty good!

Will.I Am Sucked. He says he built that car? Ya right sure whatever.. There are a lot of celebrities from the states that go to an expert or scientist and tell them “uhh I want a 2 door coupe that looks like a delorean and make it go fast and have a loud sound that sounds like my moms hair dryer”. Then they say they built it. There is nothing I hate more when someone takes credit for other peoples work. You can see the smug in his eyes behind those wannabe Lennon glasses thinking his such a philosopher. Obviously Clarkson is kissing his a#@ every step of the way which was hard to watch because I have alot of respect for Jeremy. But honesty is better then telling someone what they want to hear.
