Not many words required about the new show this week TopGear.commers, because Mr Richard Hammond has done an excellent job of explaining it all for you instead.

Watch the video below for all you need to know about Sunday’s episode, plus a little tour around the NASCAR racer that Hammond drives in his film.

In case you’ve forgotten, we’re on Sunday, 8pm, BBC Two as usual, and we’ll have more behind the scenes action with Jeremy and boss Andy Wilman over the weekend (Andy’s lucky pants thankfully not featured this week).

And If you want more, here are some snaps from Wednesday’s freezing filming down at Dunsfold…

See you Sunday!

What do you think?

Hambone drove one of our NAPCAR Tanks on wheels!!! LOL! OMG WHY? Oh wait..It was a Toyota Red Bull though right,So it’s really not indiginous to the North Americas but represents Japan! lol
There should be no comparison of F1 vs NAPCAR as there two completely different series! Both can be boring like our Indycar series ZzzzZzzz….
One Open wheeled and very technical and the other Old fashioned Un Technical simple minded American styled overweight fabricated cars that look nothing like there street counterparts with decals for grill and lights and the ugliest wheels you’ll ever see on a race car!! lol
But they do sound awesome!
I don’t care for either myself anymore but love the WRC! Sadly The best damn racing on the planet is just not shown over here. :(

The Super Bowl and Richard driving Tony Stewart’s championship-winning Sprint Cup car on the same day? It’s an American’s dream come true!

I’ll never understand why someone would think a race involving 43 cars with rear-wheel-drive, four-speed manual transmissions, and 850+ horsepower is boring. Really?

Excellent episode. Nice idea to have Richard doing Nascar and Jeremy and James in China. I always like bit silly but with a message,as in China. Makes it rewatchable. Must watch programme with Ewan McGregor and brother Colin , Bomber Boys

This looks like it is going to be an insane show. Always wanted to see what the SLS could do with Clarkson behind the wheel. Hammond couldn’t be a better fit to strap into a 850+ horsepower NASCAR. I think it is funny they use Brian Vicker’s number 83 to represent it though. Can’t wait to see the smile on Hammond’s face after a couple laps.

just want to say nascar is a joke and another joke is montoya for the love of god

If Jeremy isn’t sure about NASCAR maybe he should give it a go next time he graces the Colonies with his presence Also have you considered getting a NASCAR driver to take a run in your reasonably priced car,,,, I would really love to see their lap times compared to some of the F1 drivers. We all know the only way to settle it is with a race,,,,

I love all the negative comments about NASCAR. Id put money on NONE of them have actually watched a NASCAR race and have no idea what they are talking about. And if they say they have, id probably assume they are telling fibs to save face.
All the ‘F1 is best’ people are just stubborn and wont admit to being wrong, and that a ‘redneck’ sport is more exciting.
Montoya put it best when he said ‘they handed out awards in F1 for the most passes in a season, and that was 3.’
NASCAR is about speed, massive power, no Playstation gizmos doing all the drivers work, real drivers driving and proper door to door racing.
Last season (2011) the Nascar cup series was decided/won by 1 second.
The whole season, 36 races, came down to one second. When did Vettel win the F1 championship? 3 races from the end of the season? Yawn. I gave up on F1 when it DRS came about.
Still dont believe me? The daytona 500 is at the end of the this month (feb).
Pick a driver, so you have someone to follow, montoya for instance (somebody you know) and assuming he makes it to the end, see how thrilling it is when it come to 2-3 laps to go.
and if people dont believe NASCAR drivers can drive, watch tony stewart drive lewis hamiltons car at watkins glen and check what the driver of the winning car at the Daytona 24hr lemans series race does for a day job.
Peace!
