Americans! Don’t miss new Top Gear tonight on BBC America, 9/8c

I’d like to thank the kind folks at the BBC for bringing the US the new season of Top Gear only one week behind the UK, it’s a vast improvement and I do sincerely appreciate the effort, however, I have already watched the first and second episodes via the kind folks of the Internet. I always watch them so that I can participate in the online conversations here in the blog section of the TopGear.com website, which I feel may be the most undervalued and overlooked property of the Top Gear franchise. You only need to look at the popularity of Facebook to see the power of social media, you have a good product here, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Top Gear BBC is Top on my list for programs. Love the guys and the things they get into, they keep me laughing. Also really enjoy learning about European cars and seeing the beautiful countries they travel in. I am so thankful my daughter showed me my first episode; been hooked ever since-fan in Alabama. Oh we are not all like those folks you ran into at the gas station around Mobile!!!

I’m thrilled to hear that we’ll be getting Top Gear UK in a relatively short amount of time between airings which means more awesome episodes! Also, its awesome to see James comment on the boards about the show, it shows a huge level of dedication and is one of the reasons I love the show as much as I do. Especially considering I’m from the U.S.

@Ken Standish….you don’t mean me, do you? My name is James May, but I’m not that James May. I’m not sure that James, Richard, or Jeremy ever read these post, I always figured that someone from the BBC or from the show might monitor them and do some trend analysis and reporting, but I can’t say for sure. As for me, I’m a Systems Analyst for an Oil Refinery in New Jersey and a huge fan of the show, though I hope to one day get the job of girl wrangler at the Top Gear studios on filming days.

haha, total mistake however doesn’t mean you aren’t great for posting. Top Gear is definitely a great way to enjoy any day!

Do they still cut out 25% of the show to do commercials? Id still rather not wait, and just dl it.

My family love the show and have seen EVERY show in all of your 19 seasons. Big question is WHY all of the plugs for American cars this season?????? Starting to wonder what may be motivating this change? Do you have a new sponsor or something? We look to you guys for car advise and hope that your intentions are to provide sound car critiques. Otherwise, keep up the great work!
