Well, there you have it. One of the fastest celebrity laps witnessed on our track, a first-ever reverse for Jeremy in a public transport challenge, a proper lesson in oversteer from a reasonably priced Toyota and an impassioned farewell to the Impreza in the UK.
Hope you enjoyed the latest show in series 19 – let us know your thoughts below as usual, and we’ll see you all next week with more behind-the-scenes action from episode 3.

not allowed by, the rules off the race
as he cannot use the eurotunnel.
as Hammond and May, were using the tunnel
with their train.
Used to be, a seacat running from Dover
to Calais it only took 50 minutes.
40 minutes faster, than the ferry so that
counted again herr Clarkson.
overall a good race, nice to see a Mustang
in a race.
TGUSA never raced, a shelby mustang you cannot
get anymore Amercian than the Mustang.
roll on sunday,

Great episode!
GT86 review – * * * * * Perfect.
SIRPC – * * * * * Great person, although never heard of her!
News – * * * * * + Yes a land mine is probably the worst thing you could step on in the night!
Race – * * * * * – Brilliant race, although Clarkson arriving ‘moments’ later is debatable as there was a noticable light differance and it looked like Hammond had changed his clothes and hairstyle, but I’m just being picky!
Comments:
Great ep, more like this, can’t wait for next weeks.

Surprised about the comment that Shelby didn’t cut it as a racing driver. He won Le Mans in an Aston Martin. Not bad for someone who “didn’t cut it”…

Toyota GT86 with small engine + skin tires = fun
yet you moaked the same attributes that the Fiat Panda James May tested last year had
Is this just a case of Clarkism by Reichsmarschall Göring

As expected Mustang is ridiculed and As soon as I saw he got Mustang at the stadium and I know the verdict even before he started driving, he will make sure it loses.. Probably because Mercedes and BMW is sponsoring the show or may be the price of Americans cars are less for more power and all the common people will start buying American cars and the european cars will go bankrupt.. anyways… its bad awaful atleast he should have made Shelby Mustang win..
If it would have been Aston Martin/Ferrari, it would have sure won the race inspite of French Road work … wow what a shame for great Mustangs…

The Toyota 86 was ok. I was surprised that to 86 cost the same as the BRZ as in Australia the Subaru is more expensive. Also in Australia we get a 2 model range and isn’t called the GT86 just 86. The news is getting stupider and I don’t enjoy it as much. The race was brilliant and I was so happy James and Richard won. Hopefully next weeks review and news will be better.

Amercian Cars
BBC is not, allowed sponorship or commerical
it 10 Billion budget is raised through Licence fee
money.
It made a 1.2Billion, pound profit last year from selling
programme worldwide but that money is put into programming
and paying for the World service.
The Goverment money, too pay for the World Service
is gone and that bill is 500 Million pounds.
the licence fee, is frozen for three years causing the
BBC 500 Millon pounds.
if they had sponors, there be no licence fee
but there be no freedom of speech either.
The Mustang lost, because off 100 kms of roadworks
and took over an hour from Clarkson time.
Add the time in, for the ferry and it an impossible race
to win not because of bais toward Amercian Cars but
off the race rules.
Mustang did great, in the race just was out gunned
that all.

At “Clarkson is a knob”
I watched the Chris Harris review… i fail to see any proper review of the car, through all the inaudible mumbling he did. Also, he said the car was direct, responsive…. that’s about it. He claimed the steering suits the feeling of the car. WHAT ON EARTH DOES THAT TELL US??? A people carrier’s steering suits the feeling of the car. a truck’s steering suits the feeling of the car. You clearly just don’t like Jeremy, so what are you doing on Top Gear’s site, if only to flame the hosts? Jeremy got at the heart of the car far better than Chris did. The car is only meant to be fun, and easy to have fun with. That point came across much more clearly in Clarkson’s review.
You are welcome to your opinion, but once again, if you don’t like Clarkson or top gear, then no one is holding a gun to your head to watch them or post on their site.

it good to have, the boys back and on form
as we are hving a serious debate about a Toiota.
won Top Gear Magizine, car of the year for 2012
and Jeremy Car of the year 2012.
Did two other reviews, in worst car in the world DVD
and in Top Gear Magizine.
were Jeremy has said, in the past he can go mre indepth
with the car reviews.
anyway it a, good car and we like it so who cares
about the style it reviewed in.

Take the Shelby GT500 around the track! You even had in the studio, so what’s the matter? Afraid the ‘Stang would mop up the floor with all those highly praised (but boring) hatchbacks? Well, that surely would make that big oaf shut up. Still, love the show and the three presenters.
@steve12: your comments’ contents really are as stupid as your spelling.

To be expected from the land of soccer. Grow a set of gonads, and take the GT500 around the track. Before you do, though, think up some excuses as to how a car that “can’t turn” is faster than your beloved Audis and Bimmers. Weak, I expect better from this show.

The app that Richard is using to measure speed while on the train is called: GPSspeed HD.
It’s $2 USD at the iTunes App Store.

Somewhat disappointed that there were no more “review” from the show on the 13 GT500 than just “it wore me out and it has noise” REALLY…..try racing and traveling 800 miles and not get worn out. Besides….at least the GT500 has 2 cup holders (among MANY other options) unlike the 2 seaters with no options and no cup holder that cost more than an arm and leg to own.
Didn’t even take it to the track and Stig didn’t drive it. The 662 horses should have been tried out at least.
As a motor-head 44 year old woman and a huge fan of Top Gear, I was so looking forward to what they thought about “my car”. I didn’t get anything. :,-( Thats ok…I’ll take my Shelby over any Aston Martin.

I love the show but was a bit disappointed that Clarkson didn’t like the Shelby better. I own a 2011 GT500 and I will agree with TG that it won ‘t corner as well with the “truck” rear end it has. An IRS is way overdue for the beast. When I’m out of warranty that is going to be my first upgrade.
