Rut’s little-Honda-wagon-that-could took the checker and thus the whole shebang, even if it came in dead last in most of the challenges. But we’re not sure the Mini-Winne is a categorical answer to lumbering, soul-sucking 40-foot-long motorhomes, even if it is darn tootin’. So let us open the question to the floor: what would you build that hauls the biscuits and tucks you in at night?

Needs more of the presenters character and personality in there, but I’ve seen much worse. Challenges could stand to be less obvious and more thoughtful.

Since you guys already did the Top gear Motoring ashes, then why don’t you guys do a “UK Vs. USA?”
That’s something I’d love to see.

schedule issues, as the BBC has Jezza and co
booked for Three live events this year.
Australia from 8 to 10 of march, South Africa
in June, and there week long live show in the Uk.
maybe they could, bring Top Gear live to Amercia
and face off against each other that way.

They didn’t set fire or blow up the cars on purpose at the end. What a disappointment.

I think Tanner was MADE to loose this one, a “scripted” event made his car not work. AND that event was NOTHING, Rather disapointing. and the show seemed fake. The writing is getting better for this season. But it still seems really scripted. At least it does not seem as Pushed.
Seriously seems so unnatural. 2 simiskilled drivers. I do not believe the Porsche had a single problem

C’mon guys, seriously?
I don’t mind transplanting the overall idea (home-built RV’d) of a challenge from the UK to the US version, but building precisley the same RVs is a bit pathetic. How much more work could it have been to come up with three new RV concepts that match the US presenters’ personalities more closely and bring a whiff of fresh air to this challenge?
The whole thing just felt… artificial, fake, recycled. Complete waste of presenters’ talent and production budget, bummer that.

It is not like we don’t get it. Why watch bad people who are not entertaining repeat what you do much better? Plus yes I am an American and every NASCAR season I have to put up with Rutledge when though the NASCAR drivers like him. I just fine him annoying in a bad way.

I didn’t think it was that bad. Perhaps not their best episode, sure. I watched the whole thing though. Something I can’t say about last weeks UK episode.

I watched it and enjoyed it. One thing though, I don’t know if you guys noticed this but TG USA seems to be more about the challenges than about car testing and having celebrities over, which is good.
TG USA is getting there.
Now when will they square off against Crlarkson, Hammond and May?

TGUK is 60 minutes long, and to a challenge for
that length off time is hard to do.
unless you do, special all the time and that
become boring as well.
so you need, to mix it up more over here
and anyway TGUSA is only 43 minutes long.
i know it, slated for 60 minutes but it has to
fit in 17 minutes of commericls.
I like car reviews, can take or leave SIARPC piece
and i like the challenges.
60 minutes challenges, do not work except for an occasional
special.

Having followed Top Gear UK for years from Canada, I have been horrified watching the U.S. version of your show since I’m able to watch both shows. Perhaps the cringe of embarrassment stems from seeing the presenters trying to duplicate the exact same scenarios that were done years before on BBC and seemingly following through with the same finesse as donkeys with colic. Shame on the BBC for exploiting the Americans with such an unoriginal, recycled product… but then again you must be getting a great laugh! Number A!
