There’s little question as to which taxi most gearheads would jump into, especially given its gold-medal winning driver. Unsurprising, however, that the Ambutaxi took the prize– most folks want to vomit from excessive alcohol consumption with their friends, not motion sickness.
The MPR-12C vs. NASCAR Cup car segment was honestly one of the cooler things everyone involved had been a part of– it was an astonishingly fair match up. Did you think the McLaren even stood a chance against a 920-horsepower, slick-shod monster?
Let us know below, and as usual – your thoughts on the show.

They didn’t set fire or blow up the cars on purpose at the end. What a disappointment.

Umm… Did they mispelled MP4-12c or is that just a joke?

Oh Tanner, much as I love the guy. The show is called TGUS not the Tanner Foust show. And what’s up with this season? It’s like a season of specials. It started out ok but races and second hand vechicles gets dull after a while. It starts to lose its specialness.Where’s all the new cars? big celebrities? Feature those with actual star pull power. There’s a lot of those celebrity gear heads just ask around.
Really don’t want this series to bite the dust.

For those wondering about why this season was all challenges, the producers made the decision to devote the full 44 minutes of air-time to the journeys these guys were doing. Top Gear UK gets a full 60 minutes I believe, but here in America we have to have 15 minutes of commercials. Producers thought fitting in celebrity lap times and studio work would take away from the main features. Autoblog has Rut and Adam on a podcast and that’s what they said.
Rut, Adam and Tanner are said to be demanding studio episodes for Season 4.
And reason why Tanner drives all the supercars is because Adam and Rut can’t drive worth crap. Just sayin’.

The idea that the challenge winner gets to test a supercar is new and interesting, but Tanner does seem to win all the time. Maybe a challenge to put Rut & Adam through the Skip Barber school is needed so they can win some testing rights.
