Eagle-eyed viewers will have noticed that Sunday’s sports saloon challenge included a score for the relative economy of the Sierra Cosworth, BMW M3 and Merc 190E. Those same observant types will also have noticed that there was no film.
So there we go, the potentially contentious fifth programme in the current series of Top Gear. If you haven’t already read the blog by TG bossman Andy Wilman in which he addresses some of the comments you’ve been making about this series, you really should.
So, no Top Gear this week thanks to some men playing billiards or something, but in the absence of TG proper you might have spotted an amusing parody of Jeremy, Richard and James during BBC1’s The Impressions Show on Saturday night.
That, then, was programme four. And that means we’re more than halfway through the current series. Boo and indeed hiss.
So, show 4 in the current series has been recorded and there are two important things you need to know about it. Firstly, it is on at 8:30pm this Sunday. That’s 8:30pm. Not nine, not eight, but somewhere in between.
So, that was show 3 of the current series, and if the Top Gear team weren’t far too busy preparing the rest of the series they’d probably take a moment to be quite pleased with it.
